Jewel Kennedy is originally from a country town in Rhode Island and lived in Florida for 40 years. She worked 29 years in a Florida nursing home, with the 15 years she worked in Activities the most rewarding. After experiencing some life changes, Jewel and her younger brother decided it was time to go back to living in the country. Fond memories of his camping trips to Western North Carolina prompted them to begin their home search east of the Franklin Mountains. However, they were unable to find a home that fit their needs.
A move to Murphy, NC, wasn’t in Jewel’s plans, but it was in God’s great plan! Jewel’s mother unexpectedly agreed to move with them. Then, Jewel’s Florida real estate agent contacted Deanna Robertson through their mutual membership in a global real estate network. Introductions were made, and Jewel and her family quickly fell in love with Deanna, who was patient and kind throughout their home search. Deanna suggested extending their search area, and when she brought Jewel and her brother to Murphy they fell in love with the town, the people, and the area.
It took only two days for Jewel and her family to find their dream home in their dream location. Jewel now enjoys living in the country and working as an assistant for Deanna Robertson, who started as her Realtor and is now also her friend.
