Alongside his wife Jo Crowe-Joines, William provides oversight to Appalachian Land Company and is intricately involved in the property management of the facilities and vacation cabin rentals. William was born and raised in the mountains of southwest Virginia, where his childhood home was within walking distance to the breathtaking Blue Ridge Parkway. After graduating from Elon College, William made North Carolina home. He has a deep love and passion for the mountains and people. To William, these are synonymous – mountains and people go together. William loves the outdoors. He and Jo’s favorites things to do are camping, hiking, and enjoying all the beauty nature has to offer. William believes the heart of “living truly alive” abounds in the mountains. He believes that everyone needs a connection and a friend in the mountains. William looks forward to being that friend for you.
